Dr. Kanika

Ph.D. Yoga (Neuroscience)

Dr. Kanika is a dedicated yoga therapist and educator who seamlessly blends physical and spiritual practices, embodying the philosophy of Aatmadeepah's tagline, "Being your own light." Her work revolves around unlocking the innate potential within individuals to heal themselves and others—a principle that defines both her teachings and her personal journey.

After earning her Master's in Yoga Science from the University of Patanjali, Haridwar, Dr. Kanika relocated to Chennai in 2015, where she began her career as a Hatha Yoga teacher at 136.1 Yoga Studio. Over time, she expanded her reach by teaching at several other studios. Her passion for deepening her knowledge led her to pursue a Ph.D. at SVYASA, Bangalore. Along the way, she cleared the UGC NET, achieved Associate Professor qualification, earned AYUSH QCI Level-1 certification, and completed a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training certification.

Realizing the limitations of addressing physical healing alone, Dr. Kanika explored complementary therapies such as Sujok therapy, Navel Therapy, and EFT. This holistic approach allowed her to uncover the extraordinary healing capabilities of the human body, offering alternatives to conventional Allopathic medicine.

In recent years, Dr. Kanika has embraced the role of a Yoga philosophy educator, enriching her understanding of both the theoretical and practical aspects of yoga. She is also a committed Vipassana practitioner and a student of Kriya Yoga Sadhana, carrying forward the teachings of her Guru with deep reverence.

With her extensive experience and profound insights, Dr. Kanika is an integral part of the team, inspiring others to find harmony and transformation in their own lives.
